Concert of the winners
Basel .- you have won, have rich performing experience, playing under Topdirigenten and now meet in Basel to a special chamber music concert: young artists from Russia and Israel, united in AMG solo evening at the piano quartet. Mozart's rarely performed String Quartet in E flat major meets here the second piano quartet by Johannes Brahms and a quartet of Gustav Mahler torso, completed by Alfred Schnittke.
After studying in Moscow and London concerts, the violinist Boris Brovtsyn in many concert halls of his native country. Meanwhile, he has to do in the great halls of Europe. His artistic work was in recognition of numerous awards, last in the First prize at the Tibor Varga Competition in Switzerland.
Born in Israel, Amihai Grosz, viola, studied at, among other things Tabea Zimmermann. He is a founding member of the Jerusalem Quartet, with whom he has performed on major stages in Europe, Japan and Australia. As a soloist, played Grosz in Israel and Germany. In Daniel Barenboim's West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, he leads the viola section.
The cellist Boris Andrianov was teaching in Moscow and Berlin. He is an award-winning participants of the Tchaikovsky and the Rostropovich Competition. In 1991 he was selected in Russia as the "New Names" artist. A tour through Russia and Europe followed. Andrianov has worked with artists such as Valery Gergiev, Yuri Bashmet and Krzysztof Penderecki.
The pianist Anastasia Voltchok studied in her hometown of Moscow, and in Basel, and Maryland (USA). She played with conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Mikhail Pletnev Mario Venzago or in major concert halls of Europe and America. Anastasia Voltchok is a guest at festivals such as the Moscow Easter Festival, La Roque d'Anthéron Piano Festival in France or Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli Piano Festival in Bergamo.
In Mozart's extensive chamber music scene, there are only two piano quartets. The second was in E flat major KV 493 1783, shortly after the opera "Le nozze di Figaro." It is characterized by an almost introspective tone. Contemporaries heard how going through the composition of the "spirit of the artist in a rare, strange way."
is known as a symphonic composer Gustav Mahler. The composer had in his studies, but also written chamber works. All compositions Mahler destroyed later. Also, the Piano Quartet in A minor of 1876. Only the first movement a score transcript is received. The sketch of the Scherzo Alfred Schnittke completed in 1988 a "Mahler scherzo."
